Rose Petals is a private intimacy app for two consenting adult partners. Because it necessarily involves sensitive personal information, we keep data collection minimal, never sell it, and give you a one-tap way to delete everything.
Who we are

Information we collect
- Account: your email address and password (passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text).
- Profile: your display name, an optional nickname, how you relate (e.g. dominant / submissive / switch / equal), communication style, pet-name preference, and an optional profile photo you choose from your device.
- Intimacy preferences (sensitive): your responses to activity prompts (for example hard limit, curious, or craving). This describes your sex life and is treated as special-category / sensitive data.
- Partner link: the connection between you and your partner's account, created only after both of you explicitly consent.
- Content you create: scene notes, proposals, and free-text prompts you type.
- Device permissions: photo-library access (only when you choose a profile photo) and local notification permission (only for reminders you enable). We do not collect your photo library or location.
How we use it
- To run the core features: sharing boundaries with a linked partner, surfacing what you both want, and generating scene ideas and flirty messages.
- To keep the experience safe by construction: suggestions and messages are only ever built from activities you are both open to, and never reference anything either of you ruled out.
- To operate, secure, and support the app.
How your data is shared
- Your partner: once you both consent to link, your boundary profile is shared with your linked partner inside the app. Private notes you mark as your own stay yours.
- AI processing: to generate scenes, flirts, and answers, the text prompt and the relevant mutually-agreed activity names are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes them to return a result. We do not use your data to train models.
- Infrastructure: we use Supabase (database, authentication, storage) and Cloudflare (hosting) as processors on our behalf.
- We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete my account inside the app. Deletion removes your profile, your boundary responses, your profile photo, your partner link, and the scenes you authored, and cannot be undone. You may also request deletion by emailing [email protected].
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your data is restricted by row-level security so that only you (and, for shared boundaries, your consented partner) can read it. Profile photos are stored privately and served through short-lived signed links.
Age
Rose Petals is intended for adults only and is rated 17+. It is not directed to anyone under the age required in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise them.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
